Interested in Speaking English? Come to the English Club Bremen! 

True to our motto: “Nationality makes no difference” our members and guests are from all corners of the world. They are as unique as the club itself: native and non-native speakers enjoy the pub-like atmosphere “home from home” in our clubrooms, having a drink, playing pool or darts while chatting to amazing characters in English. 

We are not a language school! People who come to the English Club simply enjoy speaking English and having fun. The club rooms are open on Wednesday (from 5 p.m.) and Friday (from 8 p.m.). 

In addition to our regular club nights we organize special events throughout the year. These include colourful cocktail evenings, mindboggling quiz nights, spooky Halloween Parties, a real Guy Fawkes bonfire (including a guy), a Burns Dinner in January, St Patrick’s Day (or rather night) and our fabulous Christmas Dinner. 

On Sunday afternoons we have regular “Celtic Singing Sessions” with our resident musicians, and in autumn and winter we offer Coffee and Cake afternoons. There are also our regular Knitwits meetings for the needleworkers and our English Book Club for the literary minded. In Summer we go outdoors for cycling tours and BBQs – often battling the Bremen summer downpours….

Please feel free to pop in and join us at one of our club nights. We are located a 2 minute walk from the train station close to CinemaxX, the new Meininger hotel and coach station (ZOB), just behind the Überseemuseum.
